Where's the snow? 101 is having a great time in the olde hometown! Fotos are of last night's Vol Ball!
101 received a note from our friend Jean Ash (I'm including it unedited...and we hope you are feeling great soon Jean)~
Hey, George, glad you’re in town and hope you enjoy your visit back “home!” While you’re here, go to Borders or maybe B and N and take a look at the new book Ed Hooper just put together of photos called “Knoxville’s WIVK.” It’s one of those Acadia Publishing books that feature photos of lots of places and topics. Lots of great pix there and maybe you could even scan some on slow Website days! Actually, I think WIVK is selling them at a little discount so you might drop by the studio. Also, I have an old reel-to-reel tape recorder that worked the last time I tried it, many moons ago, that I’d be willing to let Don Lindsey borrow, especially if he could dub some tapes of mine onto CDs – is he the same one as the AAA spokesman? If so, I know him. Have him get in touch at the number below. I’m off to the hospital tomorrow for a leetle back surgery and will be there a few days, so maybe he should call in a week or two. Another suggestion – maybe next time you get up here you could schedule a time and place for all the K-town area readers to get together for coffee or an adult beverage! It’d be fun to see folks. Thanks a lot for your work on the site! It’s fun to read. (Jean Ash)
PS...101 got the book, wow!!! Anyone wanna grab a cup of joe? Let me know...
