 It's 1985 in Ktown...

WIVK featured Claude Tomlinson 6-10, Bob Thomas 10-3, Ed Brantley 3-7, Laura Paul 7-12, and Terry Womack 12-6. Weekend DJs were Joe Grant and Bob Love.

Scott Sams exited that year from Ktown television to WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas TX.

Q105 in Lafollette was lead by morning DJ Freeman in the Morning!

In June Bill Hays became GM at WNOX, with Carol Satterfield as General Sales Manager.

Over at WOKI FM 100- The Animal was morning drive, Jeff Jarnigan middays, Charlie Wheeler afternoons, and Shotgun Stevens at night.

In July the Arbitron ratings were released with WIVK-FM in the #1 slot at 23.3. Next up was WIMZ at 17.5, WEZK 14.5, WOKI 8.2, and WMYU 6.7.

In October there were some changes at WOKI with Ron Harper becoming morning DJ, Gary Beach midday, Jeff Jarnigan afternoons, and Shotgun still in the 7p-midnight slot. 

But, JJ wasn't long for WOKI afternoons as he and Curtis Parham joined WMYU later in October. CP was the morning voice with Jeff in afternoon drive. Larry Trotter was squeezed in the middle and Jeff Freeman was 7p-midnight.

WNOX 990~ Skip Taggert 6-10, Bobby Rivers 10-3, Eddie Beacon 3-7, Bill Beason 7p-12, and Larry King overnight.
