"Seeing that picture with the WKGN air staff and Phil Michaels, in particular, send me back to 1974 when I was teaching Phil the set up at WCRK Morristown. Michaels was fresh out of high school and brand new to radio. Then he enrolled at UT and took on the gig at "The Famous 1340". Fast forward to 1981 and Music City. I was working at WKOS-FM and got a call from an attorney looking for Buzz Dailey. Turned out to be Phil who had heard me on the air using the other name. He said he instantly knew it was me. That was in '81 and was the last time I heard from Phil Michaels (Kilpatrick). Apparently, he became a successful attorney and never got back into the radio business. I should have taken his cue... Ahh, but hind sight is 20/20!!"
