Today 101 travels back 25 years to Ktown radio from March 1986!
Over at WNOX 990, Bill Hays was the GM and Tom Buckley and Dave Jeffries handled the news department. DJs were Skip Taggert, Jerry Caylor, Eddie Beacon and Bill Beason.
A new 3-7p DJ debuted at WIMZ 103.5...Benji Norton! Kerry Lambert was named the station manager and Suzanne Dalton joined the WIMZ news staff. The WIMZ air staff featured Phil Williams, Rebekah, Daddy George, and Commander Dave.
WIVKs line up was Claude Tomlinson 6-10, Bob Thomas 10-3, Ed Brantley 3-7. Laura Paul 7-12, and Terry Womack 12-6! Martin Baker was working as Claude's morning side kick and was replaced later in '86 by Jim Donovan.
