When I joined the WIVK air staff in '76, there was no frog, and Mike Hammond and Paul Lyle had been relocated to Nashville to head up the new Dick Broadcasting station WKDA.

The building on Kingston Pike had yet to experience expansion so the control room was at the end of the property with windows. Being on the top floor there was not an easy shot but a make able one as peeps would throw rocks to ask to be let in, no groupies of course. The station's control room had a glass window looking into the news room and across the hall were two other control rooms, one was for production and on air when the signals split periodically, the other was boarded up...I wish I had taken more photos.

The 101 Audio Vault features a familiar and an unfamiliar voice...Booby of course was basically the station manager and PD in '76, Bill Carnett was ND and one of the news voices was named Bob Agee. I recall Bob as a big and gracious man with incredible pipes...
