(regarding Eddie Beacon)~
Eddie was doing overnights at his first radio gig as "Eddie Knight" when I pointed out that Carlos Kivett, who was opposite him on WKGN, was calling himself "Sonny Knight", so Eddie Beacon was born. After leaving the Big 99 in the wake of a middle of the night party that was heard on an open mic, Eddie landed at WKGN, before W149, WRJZ and several other stations. Great jock, even greater guy. We worked together at 4 or 5 of them, and probably will again.
