I know normally you don't go back quite this far on your site. I was the drummer for a local band, The Loved Ones, from 1966-1968! (search facebook)...We were the first band to open The Place on Cumberland Avenue in 1966. WKGN was our radio home with our manager William "Bill" Ballie. Here are a couple of shots taken in the radio station in 1966. These were some of the DJs that paved the way for later Knoxville radio...
