WRJZ 620 picked a good year to feature a country format in Ktown...and the world came to East Tennessee that year! (The 1982 World's Fair). Country music was red hot, even WNOX formatted country and introduced their new country FM, WNKX!
I was a DJ at WRJZ that year, and got hired to join the original on air staff at WNKX aka KiX 95!
