Joe Sullivan

Joe is one of the Ktown legends and a member of our "Your Dave Young 101 Wall of Fame"!

Joe began his radio career at age 16 in Manchester TN at WMSR. He was afternoon drive and a grand celebrity hosting "Jolly Joe Sock Hops"...a precursor to his future endeavors.

Six years later (1964) Joe landed at WKGN 1340 becoming PD only one year later. Under Joe's watch WKGN rose to #1 in the ratings.

Like many under the George Mooney umbrella, Joe was transferred to WMAK Nashville in '68 and was made program consultant for all Mooney stations.

Fast forward a couple of years and Joe founded Sound Seventy Productions...in his career Joe also sat on the board of the CMA, for 16 years.

In 1990 Joe took his brand to Branson MO producing and promoting live events for the next 24 years before retiring.

Joe passed away this past June...RIP!
