Jim Humphries was a mainstay at WETE before the station morphed into WRJZ. In the early 70's Jim became radio's "Iron Man" by staying on the air for over 208 hours. Jim's feat was accomplished via a remote broadcast location, the parking lot at Suburban Center on Kingston Pike in West Knoxville. Here's the promo the station was running during the marathon. 101 was there to watch Jim break the record!
