Here's more from Alan Copeland...

... a WKGN promo of a 1966 Name The Band contest. The Wonder Who actually named The Bloques, were renamed The Loved Ones and went on to make Knoxville music history. Barry Byrd Burton was the lead guitar, Terry Johnson was rhythm guitar, Doug Graham was bass. All three came from Rogersville and Mike Coyners who played drums from Chattanooga. Later in 1966, Alan Copeland replaced Coyners on drums and then in 1968, Dorian Rush also from Chattanooga replaced Copeland on drums. Hits included I Love Her More, Surprise, Surprise, Country Club Life and Together, Together. The Loved Ones played the Cumberland strip from The Place to The Spotlight Showcase and all around the Knoxville area. They toured the southeastern and northeastern club scene from 1966 until 1970. Byrd Burton went on to be a founding member and producer of The Amazing Rhythm Aces as well as a side-man for Brooks and Dunn, Dolly Parton and Dan Fogelberg. He became a much sought after session player in Nashville and his guitar, steel guitar, dobro, mandolin, and even banjo work can be heard on many country and popular music hit records.
