Eddy inherited Ron Ashburn and added Paul Oscar Anderson to the news team. Phil Williams established himself at the Big 99. Tons of names manned their mics...Russ Brown, Randy Miller, Scott Sams, Bill Evans (now of ABC weather fame), Mike Beach, and the list goes on and on.
